Hi, I’m Monty. Glad to meet you.
I’m 49 years old and one of my primary goals before I reached 50 was to get rid of my “dad bod”. And, I did it!
I know the whole “dad bod” thing is kind of a running joke…many guys have it…supposedly some women find it sexy…whatever!
I hated it. I got so tired of waking up every morning feeling tired and with aches in a new part of my body. So I decided that before I turned 50 I was going to get in shape and gain my health back.
This blog is what I learned and how I achieved success.
Hope you enjoy it!
Monty
Congratulations! You have a before & after? Keep it going.

Unfortunately no. I did it for myself and never thought I’d post about it.

I for one am glad you didn’t post a before and after pic. Sometimes we get too caught up in the visual images, that we don’t hear the message or content.

This looks like a promising blog. I found the post about the Dad bod spot on! I also like the term “skinny fat” (weak, skinny limbs, little pot-belly, I’ve been there, and I’m not out of the woods yet!)

The only time dad bod works if you have a baby to carry as you can have him sit on your ‘one-piece’ abs. So yes, if you are fit to do it, go slim. 🙂

Good for you! When we are always tired and achy, that’s a sure sign something needs to change. But you found the will power to carry through, and that’s something far too many people lack.

Congratulations on your desire to become healthier. If you are lucky, you may be able to live as long as I am. Chuckle. Good luck, Muriel

Perfect timing coming across your blog, Monty! Sounds like we are on the same path. I’ll be turning 50 in October and realize that I am not 100% happy with my weight and energy levels as I enter this important next chapter of my life. I am making major changes in my lifestyle and it looks like your blog will help me on this journey. Thanks for checking out my blog and of course, thanks for the follow. Onward and upward!

Monty, Do you mind if I use your ‘Don’t be the same be better’ picture for a blog I am working on?

Sure. I’m pretty sure I pulled it from WordPress’s free image finder.

Good for you Monty. Too many people in general thinks it’s ok to let it go when they reach 40s and 50s. You know what? We are still young enough to be whatever we want to be. We can still be set and awesome or if you are happy being a little soft and exercising less, that’s okay to be happy in yourself. Personally I love being fit and always have done. Keep up the brilliant work👍👍👍👍
